NEW PREMIUM IMPLANT LENSES
If you are seeking cataract surgery or refractive lens exchange in Massachusetts or Rhode Island, find out about the most advanced technology in lens replacement procedures offered by Dr. George Violin".

ReZoom

Dr. Violin is pleased to offer his patients the ReZoom multifocal IOL, as an alternative to traditional monofocal intraocular lenses. Patients undergoing cataract surgery or refractive lens exchange (RLE) no longer have to settle for monofocal IOL’s, lenses that provide good distance vision, but with limited ability to provide good vision at near without glasses.

The ReZoom Multifocal lens technology is designed to provide a full range of vision, near, distance, and intermediate-after cataract treatment, or refractive lens exchange. The ReZoom lens not only treats cataracts, but it may also turn back the clock to bring back much of your ability to see up close, as well as at distance.

The ReZoom lens has multiple focal points enabling you to see well at a variety of distances in varying light conditions. If you have been diagnosed with cataracts or are considering RLE, and desire a full range of vision with increased independence from glasses or bifocals, the ReZoom Multifocal lens may be the right solution for you.

ReZoom The ReZoom Multifocal lens features Balanced View Optics Technology. Each ReZoom lens is divided into five different uniquely proportioned visual zones, with each zone designed for different light levels, and different focal points.

Frequently Asked Questions about ReZoom

Will I still need to wear glasses after my ReZoom procedure?

The results will vary depending on your vision, lifestyle, and the anatomy of your eyes. Some people find that they need glasses to read very fine print, or sometimes to drive at night. Most people however can go about many of their day’s activities without depending on glasses. In a clinical study, 92% of patients receiving the technology in ReZoom Multifocal lenses “never” or only “occasionally” needed to wear glasses.

How is the ReZoom Multifocal lens different from traditional monofocal intraocular lenses?

The ReZoom IOL is a multifocal intraocular lens. Unlike traditional monofocal (single vision) lense implants, the ReZoom Multifocal lens provides quality vision at all distances-near(reading), intermediate(computer use or cooking), and far(driving).Traditional monofocal lenses usually provide good vision at distance, however, they do not have the ability to focus on objects that are near or at midrange.

How long after surgery will it be until I see my best?

As with most procedures, this depends on the overall health of your eye. For most people, vision is noticeably better by the next day and often sooner. Vision continues to improve during the first few weeks after the procedure.
